Hytner’s NT’s production of Othello with Rory Kinnear (Iago) and Adrian Lester
(Othello). An excellent, engaging production, set in modern times. It really
brought the play alive, although, for me, it also emphasized the implausibilities
– would Othello really fall for Iago’s trickery without checking out the
innuendo more thoroughly?
