This was a fantastic performance by Billie Piper. She plays a middle class woman who in her early thirties wants to have a baby and finds herself unable to conceive. The play - an update of Lorca's 1930's original - chronicles her increasing desperation and alienation from her oft-travelling husband.
The staging was incredibly powerful with the actors contained in a glass cage throughout. The ending had a ghastly inevitability and earned a spontaneous standing ovation.
It is hard to know what more to say - It seemed faultless to me.
